TrashTree
TrashTree can make weird looking trees.
These trees are each made of up to 100 stacked sprites, which you can download for use in your own game. The idea came from this page about creating a 3D effect with 2D layers.

This is actually a really useful tool it would be great if it was downloadable so people could integrate it into their workflow.
